Traditional half-firm sliceable cheese from Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) with EU-wide Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), hand made from goat milk

Ivory-colored, compact interior with hard, dry natural rind, which is partially coated with gofio, oil or paprika for preservation

Fat content: 55 % fat, dry weight

Taste: depending on ripeness, creamy and slightly sour to intense and piquant

Ripening time: 710 days (Majorero tierno), 3 months (Majorero semicurado) or 4 months (Majorero curado)
